Alcatel Ultra 995 an android phone for Asian market

Android powered mobile handsets undergo a lot of changes as time goes, apparently. New innovations and the advent of cool new technologies would attract more users. So it is obvious, why Mobile handset manufacturing firms invest a lot of money to integrate awesome technologies in their handsets thereby improving its features significantly, so as to make the handsets appear unique in the market. Take Apple iPhone 4S for instance.

Even with new feature rich Android powered tablets coming around, a number of firms are still sticking to the basics, using the classic technologies and decent specifications in their handsets, and make them attractive with competitive price tags.

The rate at which Android handsets grow to be a household name is quite impressive. And at similar rate, Android powered handsets also get cheaper.

Alcatel is one firm which has been there in the mobile phone business since the beginning. Although a lot of tough competitions arrived, Alcatel still stands tall with a great amount of followers, who acknowledge Alcatel’s leadership in IP technologies, converged broadband networking, applications and mobile technologies. Alcatel handsets are quite popular in India for their affordability and reliability.

At the Consumer Electronics Event 2012, it was those gadgets with innovative designs caught a lot of eyes, although a few people still spend some time watching classy gadgets with average specifications. Alcatel also had a booth at the CES and they displayed a few devices of which one is all set to be launched in the Asian market.

It is a disappointing fact that most of the cool new gadgets like powerful tablets, phones, and new smartphones reach Asian countries especially India pretty late after their launch dates.

Indians have to wait quite long to get their hands on such gadgets, which meanwhile would be great successes in the Western countries. At least Alcatel thought of releasing its new Android handset – Alcatel Ultra 995 in the Asian markets first.

The Alcatel Ultra 995 will be running in Android v2.3 Gingerbread Operating system. With a huge 4 inch good quality display and 1 GHz processor, Alcatel Ultra 995 is an awesome mid-level phone.

But it has some impressive features, especially the DLNA gaming feature. The phone supports WiFi connectivity and most likely 3G connectivity as well. With the Wi-Fi it can connect to Smart TVs and hence can be used as a remote for games which would be displayed in the TV screen.

Although this isn’t something new, the phone did get positive comments for its looks. Details of Alcatel Ultra 995 and its price haven’t been disclosed yet.
