The HTC One (M9) launch date continues to inch closer as HTC prepares for its biggest smartphone launch of the year. Over the past month or so, we've seen rumours point to the One (M9) specs, design, launch date, and the alleged release date.
It's clear that HTC will indeed release the successor of the One (M8) on March 1. Meanwhile, a new leaked information this week claims to show off a new handset, for the first time.
HTC is well known for keeping its designs secret ahead of launch though rumours have converged on a few different aspects including a BoomSound speaker grill of the type we haven't seen before.
A new HTC-made smartphone has surfaced today courtesy of @upleaks and the design point towards a mysterious device which doesn't really corroborate previous leaks. While we're not sure if upleaks is talking about the forthcoming HTC smartphone, we're still hooked to it.
The most interesting part is that this very phone features a new rectangular grill of the type. As PhoneArena notes, "it's not the typical rectangular grill that is on the One line, nor the rounded openings on the recent Desire portfolio."
The tipster claims that he'll be updating us on more details once he gets the device in hand. Once we hear any more additional details on this mystery HTC smartphone, we'll pass it on.
