Amitabh Bachchan Unveils LG G3 in India: Top 10 Premium Smartphones Under Big Threat

LG has gone ahead andn finally launched the brand new LG G3 handset in India. And we cannot stress more on how good the smartphone actually is. In fact, we have a potential heavyweight among us with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 already at the front.

Recently, at a Mumbai-based lauch event, the LG G3 was brought to the light of the day by Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan. The superstar from the yesteryear took the stage to describe what exactly is the G3.

Going through the specs of the device once more, the G3 comes with a massive 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display churning out the pixel density of 538ppi and it is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU.

It's offered in two variants depending on the RAM. The 2GB RAM featuring model comes with a 16GB built-in memory and the 3GB RAM sporting model comes with a 32GB internal memory. But both are expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

The G3 runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS with a layer of Optimus UI on top. The imaging aspect of the handset is pretty innovative as it features 13MP rear camera with OIS plus, Dual LED Flash, and 4K video recording and a new LG technology that uses Laser to Auto Focus.

You will also get a 2.1MP front-facing shooter. Connectivity options include: 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and Slim Port. LG G3 which weighs 151 grams comes powered by a 3000 mAh removable battery with a Qi wireless charging facility.
