Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update: HTC One X Unofficial Builds Surface Online
Popular Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC Corporation has not yet released an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its HTC One X smartphone. However unofficial builds have surfaced on the internet.
The quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 based smartphone has already made a huge mark on worldwide market attributed to its exciting features. However customers have been constantly requesting for an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Only Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version has been released officially by HTC.
The newly released unofficial update to Jelly Bean will allow HTC One X users to try out the new OS before it is officially released by HTC. An OS upgrade for HTC One X is expected to arrive during later part of this month.HTC had revealed this during last week when it announced HTC One X+.
HTC One X+ will reach the stores with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS preloaded. Although the unofficial OS upgrade has been released for One X, not all the models are supported. Only those models which are unlocked in Europe are supported. The list of supported models is as follows.

The new upgrade is made available at XDA-Developers. Those who want to gain more information on the upgrade can visit this thread. One important thing to remember is that the release in not official and will require tweaking the phone. This will void the device of guarantee. Any issue which arrives after the upgrade will be responsibility of the user alone.
If you are not sure whether you want the upgrade, then it is preferable that you wait for an official release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS from HTC for One X.
