Android 4.2.2: HTC One Asia Owners To Get The Update This Week
A few days back, HTC started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to the dual SIM version of the HTC One and now there is news that it is being rolled out the original HTC One handsets as well. Reportedly the update is a 417 MB file and is currently being rolled out in European countries.
The update is to bring the fallowing changes:
Quick settings
Improvements to Blinkfeed and Zoe features with added support for Instagram
Six new Highlight Video themes
Black bar has been removed, making Home button the menu bar
expandable actionable notifications
New widget support for lock screen ( Lockscreen style also changed)
Launcher bar enhancement
AE/AF enhancements in the camera
photo sphere - a new way to capture panorama photos
Battery percentage now shows in the status bar
Widget panel rearrangement
Google Now can be accessed by swiping up
Daydreams screensaver animations
Multiple user support
Wireless Screen Sharing support for watching videos or youtube on Big Screen via HDMI adopter
The update can be applied by going to Settings > About > Software updates. Obviously, this means that it is being rolled out Over The Air. There is no news on when the update will arrive to India. However Asia.Cnet reports that the update will arrive in Asia this week.In case any one out there, has received it, don't hesitate to comment below.
