Apart from announcing new flagships, most of the top-tier smartphone makers from around the world are also focusing on upgrading their older handsets with latest version of Android i.e. KitKat.
Going on the same lines, looks like many of the Samsung smartphones are also lined up to receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update very soon.
Latest leak pertaining to a list of Samsung phones that will be receiving KitKat update this month has been spotted online. According to the list, it looks like the South Korean smartphone maker will release updates for Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy Grand 2 duos, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3, and the Galaxy Note 3 Neo. But again, one of the phones that will not receive the update is the non-LTE version of Galaxy S3.
The software will roll out over the air (OTA) as soon as this month. Obviously, the roll out dates will depend on the basis of market or even carrier. But it won't be a long wait in any ways now, as the alleged list clearly mentions that the update will be released in the month of July, which is this month.
Some of the features that Android KitKat v4.4.2 will bring in the devices are immersive mode, tunnel audio, and the translucent interface. Moreover, after installing the update, the aforementioned smartphone owners will get to see features like 'Ok Google,' New Dialer, updated Hangouts, Full screen Album, Translucent system UI, Full-screen Immersive mode and new Printing features.
As of now, Samsung has not officially spoken about the updates and there could be last minute changes in the list, so keep your fingers crossed until you formally hear it from the maker itself.
In the meantime, also check out the latest Galaxy K zoom smartphone which comes with 20.7MP rear camera that Samsung launched in India today at the price of Rs. 29,999.
