Android 4.4 KitKat Update Now Rolling Out for Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Samsung has experienced a lot of popularity with its Galaxy Note series of handsets in the past, and more so with the release of the previous Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 3 smartphones.
However, there's now a pleasant surprise for all those who previously opted for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphones. According to reports, Samsung is pushing out the massively popular and new Android KitKat update for the device, promising all the features of the new update.
Recently, a KitKat firmware for the international variant of the second-generation Note showed up on Kies, touting that the update is pretty massively on the cards.
And while the update is now available in France, there's no information on whether the update is rolling out over the air for everyone just yet.

However, it is definitely an official build and it's just a matter of time before the update is rolled out to other regions as well. On updating, it will bump the software version up to build number N7100XXUFND3.
If you are yet to receive the update until now, be a bit patient since the update is massive and is being rolled out in phases, and is expected to take some time before it finally hits your device. Users can also check for the update in the Settings -- About phone -- Software update menu.
Android 4.4 KitKat: Features
With the new update in place, the device should offer all the expected Android KitKat features that have been promised via the platform.

These features mainly include a smoother interface and bumped-up performance. Other changes come in the form of white status bar icons, full-screen album art, alongside a camera shortcut on the lock screen.
All these are also coupled with wireless printing and NFC tap-to-pay support, options to set default messaging and launcher apps, transparent status bar, and better overall stability of the device.
