Android 4.4.2 KitKat: Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Starts Receiving Update in India

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 - the successor of the highest-selling smartphones in India - Galaxy Grand was till now running on Android Jelly Bean for the owners in the country. However, looks like the South Korean tech titan has started rolling out the OTA update for the Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) in India.

Additionally, KitKat update will also add other regular features like wireless printing, support for emojis, minor UI changes and under the hood improvements such as white status bar icons, lockscreen Camera shortcut, Samsung Wallet and KNOX, full screen music album art in the lockscreen, improved user interface and performance improvements.

How to Update?

The Android 4.4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) weighs around 360.90MB and can be downloaded via OTA or Kies app.

Since the update is released phase-wise, you will have to keep checking the notification on your smartphone. However, you can also manually check the update by heading to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
