Android Lollipop 5.0 Update Confirmed For Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 Smartphone
Communication doesn't seem to be among Sony's plus points, as the company had announced several weeks ago that it will not provide the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update to non-Xperia Z smartphone.
A few days later the handset maker retreated from its initial statement and said that it can't comment on the matter anymore. This gave us reasons to believe that Sony is taking into consideration at least some of the non-Xperia Z smartphone that were launch more recently for Android 5.0 Lollipop.

A new Lollipop firmware for Xperia C2 and Xperia T2 Ultra appeared earlier this month at Bluetooth SIG, which made us believe that Sony will indeed offer the Lollipop update to these two smartphones too. Sony has already started the rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop for Xperia Z3, but the update was only released in a few countries.
Today, however, the Japanese company confirmed it continued its Android 5.0 Lollipop deployment to Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. In addition, Sony announced that Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 are both eligible for Android 5.0 Lollipop, so they will be upgraded in the coming months.

"We're also pretty excited to confirm that Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 will also receive Lollipop... stay tuned, as we'll be sharing more on timings soon." So, as you can see, there's no timeframe for the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, but we will keep an eye out for any additional info on the matter so stay tuned for more.
