After announcing the devices back in September, Apple has today finally launched its most awaited iPhone 5S and 5C in India. Both these handsets come in a hefty price tag of Rs.53,500 and Rs.41,900 respectively.

Despite the several complaints against the cheaper variant, iPhone 5c, the Cupertino giant has launched it in India with high hopes. However, those who are not aware of the differences between the two, you will be surprised to know that they have a major difference in the chipset.

The iPhone 5S comes with A7 chip which is the latest one featuring a 64 bit architecture. While the iPhone 5c features the older version A6 chipset. This is perhaps one reason why the handset is called the 'cheaper variant' every time.

Moreover, the other difference is the that the iPhone 5S is made out of high-grade aluminum, with cut chamfered edges as opposed to the plastic shell of the iPhone 5C.

There is also a bit of a difference in the battery section, the iPhone 5C uses a 1510 mAh battery while the 5S draws its energy from a 1560 mAh battery. Both the devices have a similar non-removable Li-Polymer cell battery.

One of the major upgrade that the company did to its hardware section is the incorporation of the fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S which Apple chooses to call Touch ID. Again, you will not find this piece of stunning hardware in the iPhone 5C.

Perhaps, the specs which are common between the two might interest you a bit more. Both these handsets come with a the same 4 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen display offering a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and a pixel density of 326 ppi.

One more upgrade which made the iPhone lovers go mad with excitement is the advent of the new iOS 7 which comes installed in both the device along with the similar 1GB RAM. Also the dual core processor is clocked at 1.3 GHz on both handsets. However there is a difference in the graphics, where iPhone 5S comes with a quad core and 5C comes with a triple core.

To talk about the imaging technology, both these devices feature an 8 MP rear camera which can shoot picture at a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. Both feature an autofocus and a LED flash. However, in the iPhone 5s Dual LED Flash comes in addition.

If you are tempted to buy iPhone 5S, then you need to walk to your nearest retail store today. The latest iPhone 5S 16GB starts at Rs. 53,500 and goes up to Rs. 71,500 for 64GB version. On the other hand, the cheaper iPhone 5C is priced at Rs. 41,900 and goes up to Rs. 53,500 for 32GB version. User can still purchase the iPhone 4S at Rs.31,500.

Meanwhile, Reliance Communications (RCOM) , has come up with a special offers. Users do not require to pay full payment. All you need to buythe iPhone 5S/5C on contract for 24 months without any down-layment. Reliance willstart offering latest Apple iPhones , starting November 2, 2013.

Apple's iPhone 5S comes with an A7 64-bit chip which is first of its kind top be featured in the smartphones. Thus everything, like processor and graphics unit revolves around it, working to make the device run faster. The company claims that the incorporation of this new chip would offer two times faster performance than the iPhone 5. Moreover, the handset is also supported by OpenGL ES 3.0, which will allow the device to play intensive games with high graphics. Apple claims that the CPU performance is 56 times faster than the original iPhone, and more than half of the increase comes from the A7 processor.

Sadly, this piece of hardware is not the part of the iPhone 5C which has already replaced the iphone 5.

There is so much about the new version of the Apple OS. However, few of the new features that comes with the iOS 7 are Control Center which will now allow the users to see the most day-to-day used features of your device. From setting screen brightness to Bluetooth button and many more.

Through Notification Center users can check past missed calls, new messages, new e-mails, among other notifications.

Multitasking is another feature that need not be explained. AirDrop is another one, which functions like Android Beam (applicable only if they have NFC enable device).

Still there are so much features like Safari, New App store and many more about the new iOS 7 from Apple.

The fingerprint sensor featured on the iPhone 5S also called Touch ID, is a convenient security tool that makes it easier to unlock the iPhone, compared to using a 4-digit PIN code. It also allows purchases from iTunes and the App Store without having to type in your Apple ID password. If you already use a 4-digit PIN, you'll likely find Touch ID to be more convenient. If you don't use any security at all, Touch ID might finally be the security measure you've been looking for.

Sadly again this lacks on iPhone 5C.

Along with the integration of new 8MP rear camera, Apple has also refreshed the camera UI. Now the users can find four shooting modes like Still, Panorama, Video, and square-front and center. There are added filters. Photo Moments, another feature let to you grouping of photos. You can group your photos, as per the location, time and place. iCloud Photo sharing feature is yet another addition.

Since its launch two years ago, Siri, is Apple's voice-guided digital assistant, like Google Now. Apple made improvements to Siri in iOS 7 featuring iPhone 5S and 5C. In fact, Siri has also been redesigned with newer user interface that is neat and easier to operate. Siri's voice has been improved and sounds more natural and less robotic. It is quite faster at answering questions compared to the older versions of the same software.
