Apple's next iPhone has become somewhat of a daily topic of discussion. And with major number of rumors also arriving for the handset from all directions, we are bound to feel that something's really cooking behind the closed doors at Cupertino.
Apple is already one of the biggest names when it comes to smartphones and tablets. And the company, accordingly, keeps releasing a new variant of both every year. The same is with the upcoming iPhone 6 this year, rumors for which already kicked off last year.
For that matter, we could say that we've already been offered a small peak at what Apple may be planning for us us on the iPhone 6 via the announcement of iOS 8 at WWDC. This incldues a bigger screen and camera, alongside health monitoring and more storage.
But whatever it may be, we are yet to come across anything concrete that would at least give us the picture clearly on as to what the company plans for the year ahead.
So here's a look into the 5 top rumors that we have seen for the iPhone 6. Check the sliders below for more information.
The China Post, according to previous post, has claimed that the next-gen iPhone won't come up with a 12 or 16-megapixel sensor, and instead will stick to the existing 8-megapixel image sensor. So no big changes there.
According to a previous report from Gforgames, TSMC is now set to undertake the production of Apple's 20nm A8 chipset for the iPhone 6. "The reason why Samsung is reportedly out of the race is because the A8 CPU is expected to be built using 20nm manufacturing process, and apparently Samsung is facing low yield production issues with the chip," the report added.
The Sapphire display is set to replace the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. And the display technology is said to be arriving with the iPhone 6. And with Sapphire glass already used in the iPhone 5S's TouchID fingerprint sensor, Apple is in full support of the Sapphire glass.
Apple is set to limit its 128GB "iPhone 6" offerings to a rumored 5.5-inch handset. In fact, Apple may come up with 128GB version of its next-generation iPhone 6, but restrict the option to a high-end 5.5-inch model.
Apple is set to announce the iPhone 6 during the first or second weeks of September. Also, the first deliveries of the handset will come later in the month on a corresponding Friday. That's all we know from the release date for the time being.
