Apple iPhone 6 Coming to India on October 17: 10 Features That Mark its Evolution

Sure Apple has now finally revealed the brand new iPhones that are set to go live later this year, but it isn't a big deal since we have anyway been expecting the handsets. However, the big deal remains with what Apple did with the new iPhones. And seriously, we are liking what we are seeing here.

As you may already know, the new iPhones come in two sizes viz. 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch which are quite impressive design-wise and are also feature rich in terms of UI. Obviously, bigger display means bigger space for the UI to play.

Going through the specs of the 4.7-inch variant, the iPhone 6 comes in at 4.7 inches (at 1334×750). The glass on the front of the displays now curves into the body, contrary to the flat edges of all models prior.

The handset is powered by Apple's new A8 processor, which Apple claims is at least 25% faster than the A7 by processing power. The company also says there's improved battery life up for grabs as well with the new handset.

Apple calls it the iSight camera. The front-facing camera also includes a new sensor and a larger ƒ/2.2 aperture, according to Apple.

The iPhone 6 also comes with a new set of connectivity options. These includes VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and Wi-Fi calling for T-Mobile in the United States and EE in the United Kingdom. Apple has enhanced its LTE radios in its newest chip and it now supports up to 150Mbps downlink along with 20 bands. And in case you were wondering if and when the handsets will be ready for India, it seems like both of them are arriving in the native market on October 17.
