Apple Launches iPhone 5 Sleep/Wake Button Replacement Program
Here's some good news for all those currently using an iPhone 5. According to reports, Apple has launched a brand new program that will help iPhone 5 users that may have been facing problem with the Sleep/Wake button not functioning properly.
With the new program from Apple now underway, a small percentage of Apple owners can now look to finally get rid of the button problem officially.
"Apple today launched a program to replace the sleep/wake button on a small percentage of iPhone 5 models where the button may stop working or work intermittently," Apple told The Loop.
"Apple will offer the service free of charge to iPhone 5 customers with models that exhibit this issue and have a qualifying serial number."

As of now, Apple has set up a website that contains all of the details on how to get an iPhone 5 fixed, provided the users has experienced this particular problem.
However, it's important to note that not every iPhone 5 owner will experience this problem. In fact, the majority of users will not be affected at all, making it one of the most rare problems for an iPhone 5 user.
"Apple has determined that the sleep/wake button mechanism on a small percentage of iPhone 5 models may stop working or work intermittently. iPhone 5 models manufactured through March 2013 may be affected by this issue," the official page states.
"Apple will replace the sleep/wake button mechanism, free of charge, on iPhone 5 models that exhibit this issue and have a qualifying serial number."
So if anyone out there is experiencing the problem, Apple is now fixing the iPhone 5 free of charge. And although the phones are out of warranty, Apple is still allowing customers to bring them in to be fixed.
