Exclusive: Asus 6 Inch 1080p FonePad Note Coming to India in Q4 2013 Under Rs 40,000

In the coming days, Indian phablet market is set to become even more competitive. While Sony will announce it's much awaited Xperia Z Ultra later in the day. Another big ticket brand Asus has already planned to announce FonePad Note in the Indian market very soon. If you fantasize about large sized Full HD phablet, then consumers can look forward FonePad Note in Q4.

This exclusive reveal came from Asus India representative. Now GizBot readers must be thinking about the price of the 6 inch 1080p FonePad Note. According to a senior executive over at Asus India, the FonePad Note will be priced under Rs. 40,000. Moreover, Asus may launch FonePad Note in India with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Taiwanese giant and the makers behind Nexus 7 announced FonePad Note this year, at Computex 2013. The FonePad Note has a giant 6-inch Super IPS + display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. When other tech vendors are dependent on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Asus went for Intel Atom Z2560 processor; Clock speed: 1.6GHz along with 2GB of RAM.

There's also a camera, an 8-mega pixel shooter at the back, while the front has a 1.2-mega pixel camera. The phablet comes fitted with at least 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The phablet also has a working stylus with Asus powered apps. Other highlighted features include: 3G, Wi-Fi, 2G, A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The FonePad Note comes in While color option.

The Asus FonePad Note has to face tough battle with Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Note 3. The street is abuzz with rumors of another Taiwanese tech vendor HTC could announce a phablet called HTC One Max later this year. Even Nokia is also said to be prepping it's first Full HD Windows Phone 8 powered phablet to launch sometime in November this year. IFA Berlin 2013 is just around the corner and it would not be a surprise, if Huawei comes up with a sequel to Ascend Mate having Full HD panel.

In the meantime, Asus is currently preparing a thinnest tablet to be made available in the market. According to a latest report by the folks at Tech2; the Taiwanese giant Asus may announce a tablet that will be just 6mm thick. The details are pretty thin at this moment.
