Asus Padfone 2: Latest Leak confirms LTE Connectivity

As soon as next week, Asus press event is going to take place on October 16 and all the tech enthusiasts are expecting that the innovative tech firm will announce the successor of Padfone – sus Padfone 2. The device has been creating a lot of buzz in the tech media world since last couple of weeks. 

Past reports suggested that Asus Padfone 2 will ship with 4.7-inch display with a 1280×720 resolution and 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor under the hood, and now it looks like the device will feature LTE. 

GCF latest report have ensured global compatibility between networks and devices. The recent document which has got leaked contains the full list of the radios and networks the Padfone 2 will be compatible with.

Further, the document has also confirmed the device will have LTE radio on board supported by networks in Europe Asia and Latin America. Besides that, according to the previous leak, Padfone 2 will be able to record 1080p HD videos with its 13MP rear camera, and it will have 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, as well as 2140mAh battery to power everything. 

Just like its predecessor, it might also transform into a tablet, notebook with the help of a keyboard dock. 

Little is known about the Padfone 2, although it will almost certainly come with the same adaptive accessories as its predecessor: a Padfone Station which renders the phone a fully functioning Android tablet and a laptop dock for Asus Transformer-style hardware keyboard usability. 

Internally the Padfone 2 is expected to utilise a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, not dissimilar from the one set to debut in the LG Optimus G and which has already out-benchmarked the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, whilst graphics are said to be left to an Adreno 320 GPU and it’ll likely arrive running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out-the-box.
