Asus ZenFone 2 India Launch Expected at April 13 Event

    Since being announced earlier this year one of the biggest questions surrounding the new Asus ZenFone 2 has been the retail release in India. Earlier this week, Asus revealed it will bring the device soon to the country, but today a new published report confirmed more details about the release.

    Asus is gearing up to launch the ZenFone 2 in India on April 13, according to local media reports. The most prominent rumor surrounding the Asus is expected to launch only 4GB RAM variant in India.

    Asus really is planning a big announcement for April 13, and based on some media reports we'll likely see the ZenFone 2 being unveiled at the press conference. This week, Asus said that the ZenFone 2 will be sold without flash sales or invitations, taking a dig at companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus and Lenovo which sell their devices via special flash sales.

    Recalling the specifications, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720p display, a 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core 64-bit processor along with 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage.

    Meanwhile, the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML has 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core 64-bit processor along with 4GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front snapper, 64GB internal memory, 4G LTE connectivity and powered by a 3000mAh battery.
    As a reminder, Asus has already confirmed its plans to launch the ZenFone 2 in India.

    Most likely the Asus ZenFone 2 with 4G RAM could be priced around Rs. 18,000, and we're expecting the device to be available on Flipkart.
