Asus Zenfone Series to Get Lollipop Update Starting Next Month

    Taiwan based handset company, Asus has announced the roll-out of latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its three smartphones, which includes Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 on its official forum.

    Asus Zenfone Series to Get Lollipop Update Starting Next Month

    According to the post, the Zenfone 5 LTE version will receive the update in the beginning of this month while Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 will be receiving the same mid May.

    Moreover, the PadFone S also included in the line up for the update and it is expected to get next month. Moving on the update will be rolled out over the air.

    As of now, it is not clear if India is in the first list of countries to get the updates. But within few days, it will reach all the users.

    Lollipop update comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI, refreshing notification system.

    It will also allow the users to see the notification in the lock screen and they will get displayed like banners on the top of the screen.

    Additionally, there is a do-not-disturb feature added to the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by an application.
