Bharti SoftBank Brings Mobile Games At No Additional Cost
Mobile gaming is set to become more popular with the growing sales of smartphones in India. Bharti SoftBank (BSB) , a joint venture between India's Bharti Enterprises and Japan's SoftBank, have come with new games tailored to run on mobile phones.
Under the new partnership, two new games have been launched: SongQuest - a music centric game and Shiva - The Time Blender, an action packed game. Users can download games for free via Google Play store alongside BSB's free messaging service - Hike. The company also promised to provide games for other platforms (Windows, iOS , BlackBerry) soon.
"We have launched the first two games - SongQuest and Shiva: The Time Bender on the Google Play store and we will have a portfolio of five games by March next year," said, BSB head of product and strategy- Kavin Bharti Mittal
The company is targeting India's urban elite and youth. Moreover, Kavin also stated that the firm is aiming to capture 10 % of the 12 million smartphones users by the end of this year. Expect three more games to be launched by March next year.

Kavin Mittal, BSB's head of product and strategy stated that the games will be made available to uses at no extra cost, but games will be charged to buy virtual powers. The company has tied up leading network operators of India - Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel.

SongQuest is a music trivia game that allows users to challenge their friends via social platforms. Basically, it's a fun musical game. On the other hand, Shiva: The Time Bender is a runner game.
