BlackBerry Introduces Cheaper Data Plans For OS 7 Users: Offers 1GB Data For Rs 129

Blackberry has launched new data plan for subscribers in India, which offers 1GB of 2G data for Rs 129. The new plan is available on Aircel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone, in circles including West Bengal (excluding Kolkata), Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh), North East, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu (excluding Chennai), Uttar Pradesh West and Uttar Pradesh East.

Meanwhile the public beta version of the much-anticipated app Viber has been released for BlackBerry smartphones. The app allows BlackBerry 7 & BlackBerry 5 smartphone users can make Free calls on Wifi and 3G. Unfortunately the app is not made available for Blackberry 6 or 10 users, yet. Hopefully the finished product should bring in support for the two OS versions.
