The last Porsche Design mobile phone the struggling Canadian mobile manufacturer Blackberry revealed was P'9982. And while the handset sported somewhat decent specifications and features, it seems like the company is already preparing to launch a yet another Porsche Design luxury device, this time the model number being P'9531.
Blackberry, as of late, hasn't been at its best with more and more consumers shifting bases to either Android or iOS-based smartphones. However, it seems only natural that the company will keep knocking on the door to the smartphone market with regular releases that will aim to keep users interested in the brand.
Speaking about the new rumored Porsche Design P'9531, it is only expected that the company will launch, if ever, a new smartphone that will feature better specifications and features than the company's previous offering. So what are the expected specifications for the Blackberry Porsche Design P'9531? Let's take a closer look.
It is expected that this new device will arrive running Blackberry OS 7.0 which comes with a number of improved features such as improved sharing, Liquid Graphics technology (which makes the entire BB experience faster and more responsive) and voice-activated universal search.
Display and Dimensions
As far as the device's display and dimensions are concerned, it is rumored that the Porsche Design P'9531 will arrive with dimensions of 115 x 67 x 11.3 mm (4.53 x 2.64 x 0.44 inches), and will feature a 2.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 640 x 480 pixels (~286 ppi pixel density), Although the device is also said to be on the heavier side with a weight of 155gms.
There's not much to look into here as, according to the rumors, the device will look to sport a rear facing 5-megapixel camera with 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus and LED flash. As far as camera features go, it will be boosted with geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization, with video capabilities at 720p.
However, the device is likely to miss out on a front facing camera for video chat.
While everything here has to be taken with a pinch of salt, it is rumored that the Porsche Design P'9531 luxury handset will be powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 205 GPU.
Again, there's not much that's different here with the device sporting nearly the same connectivity specs as smartphones do these days. The Porsche Design P'9531 is said to arrive with WLAN features of dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, v2.1 Bluetooth with A2DP, EDR and NFC.
