BlackBerry Q20 Classic Finally Launched in India at Rs 31,900
In a New Delhi event today, the struggling smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry unleashed one more of its offering to the Indian smartphone market. Yes, the Canada-based smartphone maker in exclusive partnership with India based e-commerce site Snadeal has released the latest BlackBerry Classic in the market at a price of Rs 31,900.
Also known as BlackBerry Q20, the QWERTY keypad smartphone is also available on eBay India at Rs 31,913. BlackBerry Q20 Classic - Anything New?
The BB10.3.1 running smartphone has brought back the traditional QWERTY keypad and trackpad that was the original trend with the BlackBerry brand.
"We listened closely to our customers' feedback to ensure we are delivering the technologies to power them through their day - and that feedback led directly to the development of BlackBerry Classic," said John Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO at BlackBerry."
He continued, "BlackBerry Classic is the powerful communications tool that many BlackBerry Bold and Curve users have been waiting for. It's the secure device that feels familiar in their hands, with the added performance and agility they need to be competitive in today's busy world."

Design wise, it looks similiar to the Bold 9900, however the Classic features a capacitative touchscreen display. Coming to the specifications, the BlackBerry Classic flaunts a 3.5-inch (720×720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone also includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It houses 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It packs a non-removable 2,512mAh battery and runs on BB OS 10.3.1, with support for apps from the Google Play Store as well as the Amazon app store.
Further, this is a 3G smartphone with a nano SIM slot (single), Bluetooth 4.0 LE version, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Miracast, DLNA, FM radio, and a host of sensors - Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient light, and Hall sensor.
According to the press report the BlackBerry Classic is three times faster, has 60 percent more screen space and BB users can access greater variety of applications through BlackBerry World and the Amazon Appstore.
The BlackBerry Blend brings messaging and content on the users BlackBerry smartphone is directly displayed on computers and tablets. Users will now get instant message notifications, read and respond to work and personal email, BBM and text messages, and access documents, calendar, contacts and media in real time on whatever device they are on.

The BlackBerry Classic will be available on Snapdeal at Rs 31,900and the first 1000 customers will get benefits from Yatra.com worth Rs 10,000. Existing BlackBerry Bold users can opt for buy back offer with benefits worth Rs 4,500.
