BlackBerry R10: Mid Range QWERTY Handset Leaks Touting 5MP Camera and 1800 mAh Battery
BlackBerry (formerly RIM), the Canadian tech vendor ushered a revolution with its QWERTY Key-pad based smartphones few years back. Now the situation is entirely different. The makers behind BlackBerry Bold have lost their equity in the lucrative smartphone market. Recently, Microsoft promoted Windows Mobile 8 managed to trounce BlackBerry in the recent mobile OS market share.
Earlier this year, BlackBerry has come up with two business handsets: BlackBerry Z10, and the BlackBerry Q10. The former handset is full touch screen based handset while the latter handset is based on touch and type format. These prolific handsets are powered by BlackBerry 10 OS. The tech vendor says that the BB 10 OS is all about experience.

As of now the sales of BlackBerry Z10 has been on a lower side while the touch cum QWERTY based Q10 has opened to fantastic response in countries like U.K among others. For BlackBerry, India, Indonesia, and Middle East are biggest markets besides Canada. India, being an emerging nation surely has high net worth individuals, who can afford the Z10 at Rs.42,490. However, the large majority of the population cannot go for a handset that retail upwards of Rs.40, 000.
The buzz is that BlackBerry Q10 is coming soon to India with a reported price tag of Rs. 47,000, which is insane even for a senior executive working at a leading MNC. S0, what BlackBerry is doing form the past one year?
The answer could be in the form of BlackBerry R10, the most affordable BB10 OS powered device slated to release sometime in August this year. Few days ago GizBot had informed you about the low cost BlackBerry device.
