Blackberry has launched a host of new 4G phones which T-Mobile and AT&T will be brandishing to attract potential customers in US. Among these new Blackberry series of smartphones are Blackberry Torch 9810 and 9860. They will soon be reaching Indian shores too.
By the 9th of November, 2011, T-Mobile will offer Blackberry 9810 Torch. It has a QWERTY keyboard and 3.2-inch touch screen with a resolution of 480x640 pixels. This slider phone runs on Blackberry OS 7 and is powered by a 1.2 GHz single core processor with 8 GB internal storage and 768 MB RAM. It also offers expandable memory option through microSD card. Other features include the LED flash-equipped 5-megapixel camera that can also record 720p HD videos. 4G connectivity is offered through connection to the service provider’s HSPA+ network.
Blackberry Torch 9860 is also a touch screen phone but without a keyboard or keypad. Running on Blackberry OS 7 operating system, it has a 480x840-pixel WVGA 3.7-inch screen. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz single core processor and the other specifications include 768 MB RAM and internal memory of 8GB. It is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera. The Bold and the Curve are the other new Blackberry models that have been released.
According to Blackberry, Torch 9810 and 9860 smartphones have many innovative features. One of these is their multitasking capability that ensures users keep getting notifications about their email, social updates, messages, etc. Blackberry also offers users access to its App World where they can download a host of applications for their various entertainment or business needs.
