Blackberry Torch 9860 photos leaked online

The global mobile phone industry is poised to grow at an amazing rate within the next 5 to 10 years and sales are expected to raise revenues in excess of $2 trillion by that time. Manufacturers are working overtime to churn out mobiles loaded with all the latest gigs and thus move a step ahead of the competition. But today a common phenomenon associated with all mobiles especially Smartphones that have not yet been released is that their details get leaked on to the internet way ahead of their scheduled announcement by the manufacturer.

The situation is no different for Blackberry. The Research in Motion (RIM) creation has often been at the forefront of this leaking controversy. Keeping up with the trend, details of their latest phone that is yet to be launched has crawled its way into the internet via a photograph uploaded in multiple websites.

The leaked photos are of the Blackberry Torch 9860 Smartphone as per rumors. The company RIM has been reportedly working on Blackberry Torch 9860 since May and we hope that the device will be launched very soon. In fact as per the Twitter and Facebook accounts of Blackberry, there is possibility of the mobile being launched today itself.

At the first glance the phone looks like an offering from Apple as it looks almost identical to the iPhone 4. The only difference is that the Blackberry Torch 9860 has slightly more curved edges and also has buttons embedded on its front panel.

The Blackberry Torch, from the picture looks to be sporting a 3. 7 inch capacitive full touch screen interface that offers stunning resolution. This Blackberry torch is rumored to have a very good user interface and highly intuitive navigation menus that is all credited to the much hyped Blackberry 7 OS which will most likely be found in the phone for the first time.

RIM has been hailing the Blackberry 7 OS as the best Smartphone OS found today and in order to incorporate the high end OS, Blackberry Torch 9860 will most probably feature a powerful 1.2 GHz processor and 768 MB of RAM. The phone is expected to carry a good 4GB of internal storage and also provide higher memory expansion options.

The other rumored specs of Blackberry Torch 9860 are that it will have a powerful 5 Mega Pixel Camera at the rear that will also facilitate high definition Video recording in 720p format.
