BlackBerry Z3 Launched In India For Rs 15,990: Pre-booking Starts Today

Back in April this year, BlackBerry launched its latest Z3 smartphone in the Indonesian market and it was soon let out for pre-order there. Today the company has made the same smartphone official in India.

The BlackBerry Z3 can be pre-ordered from online retails like The Mobile Store, Flipkart and BlackBerry's Exclusive stores starting today itself. The handset is priced at Rs 15,990 alongside a Rs. 1,000 voucher that will be offered with the booking of the handset right away. This means Flipkart and The Mobile Store will offer the smartphone At Rs. 14,999.

If you are not aware, the handset is not much of a flagship model and comes with decent specs and will come with a mid-range price-tag.

In terms of specs, the BlackBerry Z3 features a 5-inch touch screen display offering a qHD resolution of 960 × 540 pixels. It runs on the latest version of BlackBerry OS 10 i.e. v10.2.1 and it is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8230) processor and Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1.5 GB RAM.

Although the device is not much of a camera oriented, it does offer an average 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 1.1MP camera. In the connectivity segment, you will get to see 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE with aptX codec and GPS.

The BlackBerry Z3 also comes with a LED Indicator and you will find an 8GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD.

The smartphone which measures 9.26mm thick and weighs 164 grams draws its energy from a 2500 mAh non-removable battery. Moreover, in terms of features you will also see BlackBerry Maps in the new BlackBerry Z3 smartphone.
