LG comes up with a new smartphone LG Eclipse that is expected to be a good competitor to the Samsung Galaxy s3. Although this Samsung phone is not commercially available as of now, popular companies are coming up with new models to win over this latest Samsung phone ever since its specifications were out this month. LG Eclipse is the latest such smartphone to be out in the market as a competitor to Samsung S3.

As per the initial reports, LG Eclipse is a 4G LTE phone with a lot of interesting features. It is expected to come up with a 2100 mAh battery that will offer quite high standby time along and talk time. It is a removable battery which will be helpful during travel as you can carry a full charged spare battery. It is expected to be powered by Krait S4 processor with a good processing speed of 1.5GHz. It is one of the first models to feature this new processor.

This LG phone will be out with a HD display of 4 inches. It will be featuring a reasonable resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels also. This 4G LTE smartphone from LG is said to feature a rear camera with 13-megapixel having all standard options like flash and zoom.

The internal storage capacity in LG Eclipse includes 16GB of ROM, and also a system memory of 2GB RAM. It will be featuring an APQ8064 chipset. The graphics performance is expected to be powered by Adreno 320 GPU.

You can expect this 4G LTE powered LG smartphone to feature LG-customized version Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system as well. It is said to feature NFC which enhances its usage with Google Wallet. LG Eclipse is otherwise called LG LS970. As seen in pictures, this LG smartphone is expected to come in a stylish black outfit.

It is certainly giving an early indication that this would be a strong rival to Samsung Galaxy S3.

Handset experts are already calling this LG phone as the next “Superphone”. Some others commented on this phone as Optimus LTE2’s American version. The price and release details of LG Eclipse are not known as of now. As there are leaks regarding this phone from several sources, we can almost be sure about the existence of such a model. Most probably this LG phone will reach the handset market by the second half of this year.
