Micromax has really rocked the entire Indian mobile phone arena with its latest bustling devices at reasonable pricing. The manufacturer is now coming at the wavelength of the Samsung devices. Specially, the Canvas series from Micromax has brought the name and fame to the homegrown company along with the international highlight.
Couple of days back, Micromax launched Canvas Lite A92 online at Infibeam for pre-order at Rs 8,499. However, at the same time the much hyped Canvas 4 which is expected to be lesser than Rs 20,000 is also up for pre-orders at Rs. 5,000 on the company's website. However, there is no information regarding the specs of the Canvas 4.
Since both the phablets are up for pre-orders, here is a brief highlight on the Canvas 4 and a specs rundown on the Canvas Lite A92.
Micromax Canvas 4
The next biggest bet by Micromax, Canvas 4; although is up for pre-orders, but the price and specifications of the phone will remain a mystery till July 8.
However, at the same time, the mobile world has seen a series of Canvas 4 teasers on Micromax Facebook fan page. The latest one says, "CAN unlock without touch?." This probably means that the Micromax Canvas 4 had some kind of relation to Air Gestures.
Even, the Saholic fanpage on Facebook had listed the key specifications of the device including 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2.5MP front facing camera, 5.5 inch HD display, dual SIM, Android 4.2.2, Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card), Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, 3G, miniUSB 2.0, Bluetooth , and a 3,000mAh Li Ion battery.
Canvas Lite A92
On the other hand, recently launched Canvas Lite A92 sports a 5-inch capacitive touch screen display that offers a a resolution of 480x800 pixels. It is powered by a MT 6577 1GHz dual core and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The phablet is also supported by a 512MB RAM. The Canvas Lite A92 has a 5 megapixel camera with flash. It has an internal storage space of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, USB connectivity and WiFi. The phablet is powered by a 2000 mAh 4.2 V Li-ion battery. The phablet is on pre-orders at Infibeam as mentioned earlier.
Micromax Canvas Lite A92 is a fairly priced device that offers a pretty good features, if observed from the price perspective. However, since Micromax Canvas 4 is said to come with air gesture support like Samsung Galaxy S4 along with Swipe and Lock feature like iPhone and a massive 13 MP camera, buyers still have options to choose either of them. Moreover, Micromax Canvas 4 is very unlikely to come at more than Rs. 20,000 or even Rs. 18,000. While the Canvas Lite A92 is priced at Rs. 8,499.
