Celkon Launches Campus Nova A352E in India For Rs 1,999


Budget smartphone sales have risen significantly in the domestic handset market. Smartphones costing Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 7,000 have become more popular.

The low-end market, particularly in rural areas, is driving sales growth, analysts say. Today, Hyderabad-based Celkon has launched Campus Nova A352E, its latest low-end smartphone in the Campus series.

The Celkon Campus Nova A352E comes in Black and White colors and is priced at Rs. 1,999. The phone is only for sale on India's online shopping site, Snapdeal, till Oct. 23.

Celkon Launches Campus Nova A352E in India For Rs 1,999

India's smartphone market is dominated by Google's Android mobile OS. The Celkon Campus Nova A352E runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the box.

Spec-wise, the low-end phone offers a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Under the hood is a 1GHz RDA8810M processor, paired with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, which further can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

In the imaging department, the phone uses a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED Flash. The handset lacks a front-facing camera. The makers have added a 1400mAh battery inside (removable).Other connectivity options include: 2G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and more.

Celkon's Campus Nova A352E gives users an option to upgrade from so-called feature phones. The handset's price point is the biggest reason to get the Campus Nova A352E over any other handset in the same class.
