Celkon is playing in a market that's as open as it gets. Sure the market is filled with the likes of Apple, Samsung and Sony, but it has also been interesting to see the growth of Indian handset makers. With names such as Micromax and Karbonn already in the mix, Celkon is looking to attain similar status.

We recently spent some time with this new handset, and found out that the handset is isn't half as bad as one might first think of it. In fact, it shows off signs of potential and ambition from Celkon. Here's our hands on and review for the same.

First of all, if you check out the handset from a bit of a distance, you will notice the potential build similarity with the very popular Nexus 5. In fact, if design is one of your main criteria in a handset, then the Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 would definitely take the cake.

For the sake of comparison, the handset looks better than most of the handsets out there in the market. And that includes the popular Moto E as well. The handset feels quite light in hand and just weighs in atr 100g. Also, the handset is quite thin and measures 136.5 x 68 x 7.9 mm.

However, numbers don't even begin to tell how good the handset actually is. In terms of other Android phones in the market in the same price range, this one comes with an entirely different look and feel.

The handset offers a smooth rubber finished body the covers both the front and the back of the handset. Although it's not really a unibody design. On top of the that, the bezels for the phone on all the sides is quite thin. And that gives the handset a uber smooth and thin look.

The phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera is in the front, just at the left top corner. There are three capacitive touch buttons that are placed below the display. At the back, the LED flash lies just below the rear camera, alongside a speaker mesh is at the bottom of the panel. The brand name, that's made of aluminium, is in the middle of the back panel.

And as expected, the handset offers the latest Android KitKat straight out of the box. So that remains in line with all other handsets in the market offering the same OS.
