Hyderabad-based Celkon Mobiles today ventures into high-end handset market with its first Full HD Android-based smartphone, the S1.
The trend of launching a 5-inch Full HD is not new, but for Celkon its one step ahead in the right direction.
Priced at Rs. 14,499, the Celkon S1 offers unmatched features at an affordable retail price.
The Celkon S1 is competing with Karbonn Titanium S7 in the same price bracket. Both devices offer Full HD screen and more-or-less similar features.
Coming back its specs, the Celkon S1 features a 5-inch IPS display having a resolution of 1920x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, you will notice a 1.5GHz quad-core (most likely MediaTek), backed by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device is supported by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
On the imaging front, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED Flash. Also add an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing memorable moments. The device measures 6.5mm in terms of thickness and weighs 137 grams. The makers have added a 2,300mAh battery fitted inside.
Other connectivity options include: 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a 3.55mm headphone jack, Bluetooth and FM Radio, amongst others.
