Coolpad Launches 3 Handsets
Coolpad communications, a joint organisation of India and Wireless Technologies Limited – a Chinese company, has been growing immensely at an incredible rate and is now preparing to take itself to new heights in India. Coolpad recently launched 3 new handsets. One of them is Coolpad’s first venture, developing a CDMA handset exclusively integrated with Google’s Android Operating System. Apparently, Coolpad teamed up with Reliance so as to offer discounts on the voice and data plans which would redeem the handset’s price supposedly after they use it for about 2 years.

The specifications for this handset are not that catchy, but it’s powered by a good 800 MHz processor and possesses 256 MB RAM size. Adding some flashiness to the handset is its resistive touchscreen of 3.5 inches size. In India, CDMA handsets are reportedly priced at around Rs 3,500/-. Coolpad commented that they are focusing on mid hi-end CDMA handsets to bring in to the market. The Company has also been putting much effort in GSM handsets as well. The handset, even though Android-based runs in a pre-historic version of Android - Android 2.1
