Exclusive: Huawei Ascend P7 Heading to India, Could Launch in December
Until last year, Huawei was largely seen as yet another Chinese smartphone maker aiming to increase its influence in India.
Globally, though, Chinese telecom giant might be gaining eyeballs due to their excellent performance overseas, but their Indian endeavor requires nurturing to build trust, and a long term relationship.

Keeping that in mind, Huawei could be entering into the high-end segment of the Indian smartphone market with its Ascend P7 very soon. Yes, as per our sources, Huawei is seriously planning to unveil the Ascend P7 in the country.
As per the import data at Zauba, Huawei has started to import the device in India - although the actual release date is still a mystery.
In fact, as many as 500 units of the smartphone landed in India with a per unit value of Rs. 18,550, so it also gives a clue that the flagship will be priced somewhere around Rs. 25,000. Meanwhile, GizBot expects the handset to land in India sometime in the early December 2014.
It's somewhat surprising on the part of Huawei, considering the device was one of the most anticipated Android smartphone of the first half of 2014 - a fact confirmed by Huawei's quarterly smartphone sales.
While it remains unknown why Huawei kept on delaying the release of the Ascend P7 for Indian users, however, Zauba has historically been a good indicator when it comes to forthcoming devices.
Huawei Ascend P7 - Highlighted Specifications
The Huawei Ascend P7 is a flagship Android smartphone. Huawei's P series is known for producing some of the finest premium handsets.

The phone has a thickness of 6.5mm, and runs Android 4.4 OS with Huawei's Emotion interface layered on top. The device also has 4G LTE support.
The Ascend P7 will compete with a slew of top-end phones with Google's Android OS, including the Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8), ZTE Nubia Z7, Xiaomi MI4, OnePlus One and the Sony Xperia Z3.
We have tried to contact Huawei to ask about the India release of the Ascend P7, however, we are still waiting for the official response. We will update as we learn more.
