Exclusive: Oppo to Launch N3, Mirror 3 Smartphones in India Next Month
It's probably the most well recognized smartphone brand back home. But then Oppo has a long way to go before it can claim its victory over the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung in India.
While its arch rivals in the mobile handset business may have been celebrating their success too early, Oppo won't let anyone to rejoice just yet. Oppo's last big release in India, the R5, garnered critical acclaim; and now the Chinese company will release the N3 flagship smartphone in February of 2015. Yes, you heard that right!

The eagerly awaited Oppo N3 is headed to India next month. An employee over at Oppo India has apparently told GizBot that the firm's latest and the most sophisticated camera-centric smartphone, the N3, will be launched next month.
GizBot has learned that the smartphone could be unveiled in the country by third or fourth week of February. Interestingly, Oppo will hold a press event in India to launch its N3 flagship smartphone. No word on price yet, or whether any e-commerce sites will sell the device exclusively. Judging by the positioning of the device, we believe this smartphone will surely command a high price tag.
Oppo N3 - Highlighted Specifications
The N3 is a follow-up to the N1 smartphone, which currently retails around Rs. 31,000 in India. Moving over to its specs, the high-end handset comes with a 16-megapixels f/2.2 motorized swivel camera enabling users to capture photos at various angles.
Under the hood, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip, has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. There's also a fingerprint reader on the rear-back side.

Oppo Mirror 3 To Land in India Next Month
While the Oppo N3 remains a camera-centric smartphone, and will target a niche audience. Meanwhile, the Oppo Mirror 3 will be projected as the most economical 4G LTE-enabled smartphone from Oppo.
We've learned that Oppo Mirror 3 is expected to go official in India by mid-February 2015. It has got a 64-bit processor (Snapdragon 410) processor under the hood, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, a microSD card slot, a 4.7-inch HD display, 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing shooter, a 2,000mAh battery and will run the proprietary ColorOS on top of Android 4.4.
The device is already available in Vietnam at 5,990,000 Vietnamese Dong or $280. However, according to our sources, the Oppo Mirror 3 will be priced at Rs. 16,000 when it goes on sale next month.
Many consumers in India either don't know Oppo or view it as yet another low-end smartphone maker. So far, smartphones makers from China have not been able to generate the same kind of buzz as many Koreans brands, barring an exception.
Even though both N3 and Mirror 3 smartphones seems promising in terms of hardware and design; still, Oppo has a long way to establish its brand image in the mind of the consumer.
