GizBot has got to know that Sony has plans to launch the Xperia T2 Ultra alongside mid-range Xperia E1 in Indian market. The makers behind the flagship smartphone Xperia Z1 will officially launch both the handsets, probably by March end in India.

Moreover, our source was not able to confirm whether Sony will release the dual-SIM variants of respective devices during same time period or not. Only time will tell.

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is a low-cost version of popular Xperia Z1 Ultra. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered phablet comes with a 6-inch TRILUMINOS HD display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, having a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, there is a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

Exclusive: Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1 Will Reach India Soon

On the camera front, you will find a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED Flash. It also houses a 1.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The mammoth phablet incorporates a large 3,000mAh battery fitted inside. Going by its specs, the Xperia T2 Ultra will directly compete with the Nokia Lumia 1320 in mid-range handset market.

Aside from the Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony will also launch the second iteration of low-cost Xperia E for Indian consumers. Yes, you heard it right. The Xperia E1, as the name suggests, will be an enhanced version of its predecessor. The handset comes with a 4-inch WVGA display featuring 480 x 800 pixels, and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean mobile OS.

It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8210 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. Additionally, the Sony Xperia E1 features a 1,7500mAh removable battery fitted inside. The rear-facing camera for E1 has a 3MP sensor , with 4X zoom and an option to record videos in 720p HD format. There is no front-facing camera included. The Xperia E1 packs 100 decibel (Db) speakers, which is something commendable. Both the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1 are primarily made for emerging Asian markets.

The Japanese tech giant Sony recently expanded its line-up by launching three top class devices including Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia E1 and the Xperia T2 Ultra phablet.
