5 things we are absolutely excited to see on the OnePlus 6T
OnePlus 6T will be launched on October 30th.
OnePlus, the premium smartphone maker seems all set to take the center stage with the launch of its new flagship - the OnePlus 6T. Slated to launch on October 30th, the smartphone has already created ripples in the market and initiating a word-of-mouth around the upcoming device. The smartphone will surely bring some unique features to the table for the tech-savvy mobile consumers in the Indian market and globally.
It's quite evident that OnePlus has once again caused a stir even before unveiling the device. The device will see the light of day soon, and the 'Notify Me' for the OnePlus 6T has already gone live on Amazon.in wherein customers can subscribe and receive regular updates on the OnePlus 6T.
With Amazon's Great Indian Festival 2018 kicking-off, India's biggest premium smartphone maker, has witnessed its biggest ever sales in the first 36 hours of Amazon's most anticipated sale of the year. The OnePlus 6T pre-bookings and has already made Rs 400 crore of bookings within 36 hours. The bookings for the OnePlus smartphones during the sale period has grown by five times this year on Amazon.in. OnePlus 6 which was launched 5 months ago, is still the highest grossing smartphone ever on Amazon.in.
OnePlus 6T is definitely one of the most exciting smartphones. But before we get to see the device, here are five things we can't wait to see with the OnePlus 6T:
The Screen Unlock
We already know that the OnePlus will come equipped with a futuristic Screen Unlock feature. Pete Lau, Founder, and CEO, OnePlus has officially confirmed that OnePlus 6T will deliver an incredibly fast in-display unlock experience. The new feature was also teased in a short video hinting at the futuristic 'Screen Unlock' technology on the company's much-awaited new flagship smartphone.
OnePlus has brought together the hardware and self-learning algorithms that are capable of preloading your biometric information to offer a zippy unlock experience. This also makes the technology even more safe and secure. To securely store users' biometric data, the engineers at OnePlus has used a dedicated 'Trust Zone' which is found in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The zone serves as an isolated virtual space for the sake of confidentiality.
A faster Dash Charging
The OnePlus 6T will come with even bigger battery reservoir compared to its precursor. The OnePlus devices have always been known for their best-in-class battery backup and fast charging capabilities, and we expect no less from the upcoming OnePlus 6T. This promises to keep the device fired up, ready for a rigorous usage.
To top it all, the company is also said to be bringing an enhanced version of the popular Dash Charge. The upcoming OnePlus 6T will be backed by an improved version of the company's Dash charging technology. This also means that the OnePlus 6T will take even lesser time to gain enough juice to keep up with your needs.
First of its kind
The OnePlus 6T will be the first non-Pixel smartphone in India to run the latest Android Pie out-of-the-box. The update along combined with OnePlus' Oxygen OS skin will bring upgraded gesture navigations introduced by Google at its developer conference Google I/O. It will also have a new adaptive battery feature which analyses your usage of apps and prevent them from using the battery when the users aren't likely to be using those apps.
OnePlus is also rolling out the Android Pie-based OxygenOS 9.0 for the previous flagship OnePlus 6. OnePlus in a blog post said, "The OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs."
A Super AMOLED display
The OnePlus 6T will sport a bigger and a more immersive multimedia experience than any other smartphone in its respective price-point. This has been possible, thanks to the entirely bezel-less AMOLED display with a Water drop notch, measuring no more than just a water droplet to house the front-facing camera. The OnePlus 6T will also be one of the very few devices to offer an edge-to-edge screen viewing experience for gaming and multimedia consumption.
New Type-C OnePlus Bullet earphones
OnePlus Bullet wireless headphones were easily the most talked about smartphone accessory since the time they were launched. With the launch of OnePlus 6T, the company will have something extra for the consumers. The OnePlus 6T launch will be accompanied by a pair of new Bullet earphones that will come with Type-C jack.
The reason being the new flagship will utilize the Type-C port to deliver a lossless audio experience to users. OnePlus 6T has decided to eliminate the 3.5mmaudio jack to improve the audio experience and overall battery life of the handset. The extra space after the removal of the audio jack has been successfully used to tuck in a bigger battery reservoir.
