Apple March 21st event: iPhone 5Se, iPad Pro and wait, there’s more!
Apple is all set to loop you into their exclusive event on the 21st of March, with products like the iPhone 5SE, 'mini' iPad Pro and several Apple Watch updates expected.

Not generally on the usual calendar for Apple, this special event is still a good 6-7 months distant from the flagship iPhone event, held in September every year. Here is a rundown of what all to expect from the 'Let Us Loop You In' event that will be hosted at Apple's very own Infinite Loop Campus on March 21st.
Apple iPhone 5SE
The much-awaited 4-inch iPhone is making a comeback with the iPhone 5SE, where SE apparently stands for Special Edition. With rumors pointing towards specifications similar to the iPhone 6, there might also be 3D Touch support on the new iPhone 5SE. With the launch of this compact 4-inch phone, Apple aims to target the audience that was feeling left out since the company jumped onto larger screens in 2014.
Renders of the smartphone are already out in the public and we can safely claim that the iPhone 5SE is an iPhone 6 in an 'iPhone 5 shell'. Doing away with the 'C' series of smartphones that bombed, Apple will launch the 5SE at a price that is around 100-200 US dollars lesser compared to the iPhone 6S. This also means that prices for their previous iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 will go down, substantially, in the US and other major markets.
9.7-inch iPad Pro
With rumors coming in that Apple is phasing out the iPad 'Air' series, the March 21st event indicates towards the same with an expected launch of the 'mini' iPad Pro. While we do not exactly know what it will be called, this new upgrade will essentially be a 9.7-inch version of the iPad Pro, launched in 2015.
It is expected to sport the same A9X chip for processing and M9 chip for graphics performance. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will also have 4GB of RAM and a similar quad-design speakers that debuted on the bigger, 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Apple is also rumored to have upgraded the camera sensor on the iPad, pointing towards a probable LED flash unit in the tablet.
Apple Watch Bands
It hasn't even been a complete year since the first-gen Apple Watch was launched so there is a very rare chance that Apple might actually announce the second generation of their smartwatch. Despite that, we are expected to witness the launch of some exciting new bands for the watch, mostly probably the 'Sports' and 'Nylon' range offerings.
Apple might also be announcing some new brand associations, as they did with the Hermes bands for Apple Watch. Apart from hardware upgrades, the Apple Watch is also expected to receive new software versions - most certainly, WatchOS 2.2.
A new iOS update?
Apple's latest iOS build is currently version 9.2.1. While v9.3 isn't generally the big annual update, we can expect the company management to talk about some new features that come with this minor OTA update, at the event on 21st. Toggle for switching colors, improved functionality across apps on Touch ID and optimized Apple News recommendations are some of the new features that we are expecting with iOS 9.3.

New MacBooks or iMacs? Nope.
A completely mobile-oriented event, the March 21st keynote will definitely not have any kind of PC or laptop talk. While the Macbook Air, Macbook Pro and all-new Macbook are due for an upgrade, there is little chance that it might happen at this event. Also, Intel's new processors are already out there in the market, but we are hearing no news on a refresh cycle yet.
Stay tuned for updates as Gizbot brings you content straight from the Apple event.
