Both the phones pack in 2GB RAM sitting in their heart. Moreover, each phone has 16GB internal storage that comes with capacity to expand via microSD card. The difference here is that the Holly 2 Plus is expandable up to 32GB while the Redmi 3 can give you up to 128GB of additional storage space.
However, the negative point is that the Redmi 3 uses SIM 2 slot for MicroSD, which means you can only use one SIM with a microSD card put in. The Huawei's offering, on the hand, has three slots - 2 for SIMs and a dedicated slot for microSD card.

Battery is what powers up a device and gives users more or less time to enjoy the performance of the phone. Now that most of the smartphone users love to use their phones, it is important that their phones pack in big battery that runs for longer.
In the battery department, both Holly 2 Plus and Redmi 3 offer good capacity battery. You get a 4000mah battery powering the Honor Holly 2 Plus, whereas the Redmi 3 features a slightly bigger non-removable 4100mAh battery. In addition to that, both models support fast charging to let users charge their phones faster.
Photography crazy!
In the camera department, you get 13MP cameras, accompanied by LED Flash and PDAF, on both the competitors. Up front, these feature a 5MP selfie camera each. While both have similar camera optics, it all depends on the performance of the cameras on these smartphones for us to judge that which one is better than other.
Connectivity options:
In terms of connectivity, both phones have 4G LTE support, dual-SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other standard options. One thing that makes a difference here is that you can use dual SIMs and microSD card at the same time on the Redmi 3.

As for software, both phones are shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop, however each one has its own company's native UI. So you get EMUI 3.1 on Honor Holly 2Plus, and MIUI 7 on Xiaomi Redmi 3.
