LG G5 Coming in May, 6 More LG Phones to Launch Soon under 'Make in India' Initiative!
The South Korean Eectronics giant, LG recently launched its first set of smartphones that have been produced in India, under the government's 'Make In India' initiative. At an event held on April 14 in Delhi, India, the company announced that it will be manufacturing these devices at its new Noida facility in partnership with GDN Enterprises.
Speaking with GizBot at the sideline of the launch of the K7 and K10 smartphones, one of the company's top officials, informed us that LG is planning to launch around six new locally manufactured smartphones in next couple of months. For now, it targets to produce 1 million phones in India, however the production capacity will go up subsequently.
Besides planning big on the production of affordable smartphones in India, the company is also working on bringing its flagship G5 smartphone in India sooner than later. For those awaiting the launch of LG G5 launch, we have been informed that the phone will be coming in May 2016.

LG first unveiled its latest flagship smartphone at MWC 2016. The phone hogged limelight for its unique swappable bottom design, and high end specifications. To recap, the LG G5 flaunts an aluminum body with a refresh look than the last year's G4. It features a 5.3-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 16MP rear and 8MP front cameras, removable battery, and Android topped with LG UX.
Speaking about the K10 and K7 smartphones, these phones are priced at Rs 9,500 and Rs 13,500 respectively, for these are targeted at price conscious segment who want to make use the fast network services. The K7 has with 5-inch display, quad-core chipset, 5MP snapper, 1.5GB RAM, and 16GB inbuilt storage. The K10, on the other hand, has slightly beefed up specs, which include 5.3-inch display, 13MP rear camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and more. Both phones support 4GLTE, VoLTE, and VoWi-Fi.
