Back in October, Samsung announced that it was building the first 10nm mobile application processor in the industry. A few days back, the company confirmed that it is manufacturing the next generation Snapdragon processor to be announced by Qualcomm.

Both the companies jointly announced that the Snapdragon 835 will be manufactured using the cutting edge 10nm FinFET processor of Samsung. This way, the upcoming processor will bring about both energy efficiency and performance improvements to the devices in comparison to those that use the Snapdragon 820 and 821 processors.

Following this announcement, the AnTuTu score of Snapdragon 835 emerged online showing that it is much better than the Apple A10 chipset. The new chip is claimed to provide 27% better performance and reduce the energy consumption by 40%. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Snapdragon 835 chipset scored 181,434 that is much higher than the score of Apple A10 that is 172,644. Also, this chipset might bring the Quick Charge 4.0 fast-charging technology that will be 20% faster than Quick Charge 3.0.

Talking about the chipset, it uses an octa-core processor and is the first Snapdragon chip to run eight cores together unlike the Snapdragon 810 that resulted in overheating of the devices. It is known that only the flagship and high-end devices will make use of the Snapdragon 835 chipset. Already, there are rumors that this octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset will be powering some flagship models that the tech world is awaiting to witness.
