Like Micromax, Zen Mobile Launches Sub-Rs. 5,500 4G VoLTE Smartphones: And the Winner is?
Zen Mobile unveils two new 4G VoLTE smartphones in India which are available under Rs. 5,500. Here are all the details.
Zen Mobile has unveiled two new 4G VoLTE enabled smartphones for the Indian market today. These smartphones can be listed among the most affordable 4G smartphones in the country available under Rs. 5,500.
Zen Mobile has announced two new 4G smartphones for the Indian market - one is called the Admire Dragon which is available at Rs. 5,290 and the other is called the Admire Thrill priced at Rs. 4,690.
Similar to Zen Mobile, just a few days back Micromax had unveiled two new budgeted 4G VoLTE smartphones called the Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 with a price tag of Rs. 4,400 and Rs. 4,990 respectively.

The Admire Dragon comes with a 5-inch display, wherein the Admire Thrill features a 4.5 inch FWVGA display. Along with that, both the devices are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and also offers 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage capacity. The company is quite confident about the success of these 4G smartphones.
Well, taking a look at the camera set-up, the newly launched Zen smartphones comes with a 5MP rear camera, whereas the Admire Dragon sports a 5MP front camera and Admire Thrill includes a 2MP selfie camera. With such low-quality cameras, these 4G smartphones are neither suitable for capturing selfies nor landscapes.
The unique aspect of the new affordable 4G VoLTE smartphones is that these Zen phones come with support Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati and several more. The two Zen mobiles are further packed with features like auto call record, flip to mute, Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

When compared to the two new 4G smartphones by Micromax, Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2, it is quite clear that both Zen and Micromax smartphones feature very similar wherein Vdeo 1 consists of 4-WVGA display and the Vdeo 2 is built with 4.5-inch FWVGA display. Comparing the camera set-up, both the Micromax 4G smartphones are quite similar to that of Zen Mobile's Admire Dragon and Admire Thrill each one having built with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.
Introducing these cheap priced smartphones, Zen Mobile is working towards a digital India, and strengthening their 4G portfolio. The company's key goal is to enable the users to avail the Reliance Jio's unlimited and free "Happy New Year" offer which will let the customers not only enjoy the features of the smartphones but also enjoy unlimited voice calling over LTE network and internet access until March 31, 2017.
Whereas Micromax steps ahead in this regards as the smartphones come with a free Reliance Jio SIM along with Google Duo app pre-installed, which is not the case with the two new Zen Mobile phones.
