Flipkart To Launch Own Smartphone Brand in India
If the recent online reports are to be relied upon than you could possible see a new smartphone brand coming from the popular Indian e-commerce site Flipkart. According to the BGR reports, the company is currently making plans to launch two new smartphones in a near future. But the company has not disclosed any information pertaining to the specs and other details of the two devices as of now.
Fueled by the determination which it received from the Moto G samtphone launch earlier this year in India, Flipkart is also reported to be in talks with chip makers like Intel, MediaTek and Qualcomm for about two years for the release of its own branded smartphones, and has finally decided to bring to the market two handsets featuring products from one of the three makers.

In the growing smartphone market in India other retailers like Tata Group's retail chain, Croma has already been selling gadgets under its own name, including smartphones. Thus Flipkart might make a tough competition for it if it actually comes up with its very own branded handsets.

And if the report does materialize, obviously Flipkart might be the first e-commerce site in the country to announce its own branded smartphones.
