Forget Samsung Galaxy Note Edge! LG is Planning to Launch a Dual Edge Smartphone Display

South Korean giant LG made an impressive statement this year at CES 2015 with the launch of curved LG G Flex 2 smartphone. Additionally, as hinted by a Korean site, LG has come with new prototype smartphone sporting a dual-edge display that is curved on two sides. Currently, the only smartphone with the edged display is Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

As per the report, the prototype sports a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels that packs an "Active Bending" Plastic-OLED (P-OLED) panel with 0.7mm thickness. The Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi also working on the dual-edged display which is called the Xiaomi Arch.

In an interview with trusted reviews, Ken Hong, LG's Director of Corporate Communications said, LG G4 which is the successor of G3 will be experimented with lots of options before it hits the market.

On the other hand, Android Central has confirmed, LG's new smartwatch which was shown by the Audi is powered by webOS. Also the setting menu revealed that the LG's new watch can be connected cellular data networks and supports Built-in apps like a dialer and message app. Music, calendar, email, and LG Health W app are also part of the watch's software.

Further, the Audi app in the smartwatch allows you to control the various part of the vehicle, including unlocking over NFC. Other apps includes Voice Memo, Q Voice and Remote Shutter and Find My Phone along with some Korean carrier apps on the device.

As there is no adequate information about the pricing and release date, we are expecting more details from the LG authorities in the near future.
