Galaxy Active, Galaxy S4 Mini And Galaxy Tab 3 8.0: Samsung To Make Summers Even More Hotter

After the successful debut of Galaxy S4, the South Korean giant is aiming to launch the rugged version of the device in the month of July. The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung will announce - Galaxy S4 Active in the summer. The report, however, signals no change in the design elements or in the specifications side. Just days back, GizBot has come up with a report that Samsung is prepping a rugged version of the Galaxy S4 with water and dustproof capabilities (via Tech View).

During the Q&A sessions, Young Soo Kim President Samsung Gulf, told media that the company is indeed working on rugged handset. Other than the Samsung Active, the tech vendor is also planning to announce an 8-inch tablet. The targeted date is pegged at around coming June. And lastly, the report states that the mini version of Samsung Galaxy S4 is round the corner. The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be mediocre, a 4.3-inch display, and expected to hit retail market around July.

The above mentioned details slipped by the WSJ are enough to prove that Samsung is working hard to increase its market share. The South Korean giant has just announced its Q1 2013 results, and they are quite satisfactory. On the other hand Apple disappoints its investors by announcing rather grim future. The iPad maker managed to sell 37.4 million iPhones during last quarter.
