Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Chat smartphones in India.

In past couple of months numerous Samsung handsets including the Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy S2 amongst others have been getting Jelly Bean updates. As far as the Galaxy Chat is concerned, the Android handset was launched in India back in September 2012, flavored by Ice Cream Sandwich. Now with the new update, the users should be happy about the new update.

The update is being rolled out Over The Air (OTA) and has a download size of 246.5 MB. Therefore, download via Wi-Fi connection is advisable. You can check for the update manually from the Settings > About > Software update.

Key Feature Added Via Update

Multi-Window function now come with support for more apps such as YouTube, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon Kindle, Viewdini, Google Maps and Talk.

The update will come with enhancements SIS Mobile Wallet, VZ Navigator, Backup Assistant Plus, Exchange Active Sync (EAS) email, SMS, Mobile Hotspot and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Further, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will remove Zappos, which is usually a pre-loaded application.

Also, the update brings Google Now, the magic of project butter, new Nature UX, contextual search and better notifications.
Apart from the above changes, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will bring various security enhancements and bug fixes to Samsung Galaxy Chat owners.
