Beginning this week, Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will be made available in two new colors, besides the regular white variant. South Korea's largest smartphone maker has officially released the Galaxy Grand 2 in Black and Pink color options for Indian consumers. The models are listed online on Samsung India e-store.
Though, the pink color option is currently not available for purchase, but users can already buy the device in black color.
Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand 2 in India for Rs. 22,999. The company has been aggressively promoting the Galaxy Grand 2 through print and Television commercials.
The device, Galaxy Grand 2, is seen as a replacement of original Galaxy Grand, which went on becoming a successful mid-range handset in Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2: Highlighted Specs
The phone, Galaxy Grand 2, is an ideal choice for students and SMEs. Priced at Rs. 22,999, the device not only blessed with good looks but it also features great hardware specifications.
The handset comes with a 5.2-inch 16:9 TFT display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Under the hood, you will notice a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
For those who can't think their life without a handy camera, the Galaxy Grand 2 does come with an an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and an LED Flash. Moreover, the camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD (1080p) format. Also add a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies.
The Galaxy Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung's native UI on the top of it.
The device also comes with Samsung's own home baked apps: ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Health, Group Play, S Travel, S Translator, Samsung Link, and Story Album.
The makers have added a 2600mAh battery fitted inside, which Samsung claims to give up to 17 hours of talk time and 10 hours of non-stop music play.
Other highlighted connectivity options include: Dual-SIM, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS ＋ Glonass, and USB 2.0.
With the Galaxy Grand 2, Samsung has introduced a unique app store called Club Samsung. User can download music, video and apps directly on their device. Samsung says the store will be free for first three months, interested users have to pay fee to download the content.
