Galaxy S2 and Note to have Android ICS update
Samsung has guaranteed the Galaxy fans that the Samsung series Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note will be soon updated with the Ice Cream sandwich. The company has also posted about updating these devices on its Facebook page. The page says that it will be getting stepped up to Android 4.0 before the month of April.
Only a few mobile handsets have been updated to Ice cream sandwich till date. The most awaited version of the Google mobile operating system is also expected to be released with many features and facilities. We can expect that the mobile manufactures will now start squeezing the Android Ice Cream sandwich on to their handsets. Many of the Galaxy fans are really intimidated to know when this Galaxy S2 and Note will be getting updated.
At the end of December, Samsung has announced that the S2 as well as the Note would be updated to Ice Cream sandwich and now we are moving towards the actual date. The company has decided to update S2 with the Android 4.0 as it was chosen as the favourite handset of 2011.
The expansion of Ice Cream Sandwich update for both Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note are moving ahead as per the plans established. The South Korean company has approved that the update will pull in at the end of the first quarter. Therefore it is obvious that only a few months are left out and the wait is almost over.
When the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note get updated, it brings a lot of additional features such as enhanced browser, latest task manager and improved notification manager. Thus the improvements are made in terms of both performance and functionality.
Earlier the Samsung Galaxy S2 was integrated with leaked ICS ROMs and the users were happy with its performance. But unfortunately, this version of ROM is not suitable for daily use. Therefore the Samsung engineers have developed many ROMs which are exclusively meant for updating the Galaxy S2.
Thus we can say that the R&D engineers of Samsung are experiencing tremendous growth. By updating the Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0 enables Face unlock feature. This is one of the super cool features of Ice Cream sandwich. The galaxy lovers can now sleep in peace of mind knowing that there are only a few months left out until the official update hits.
