Gingerbread Smartphones To Launch Next Year
Google is all set to launch an updated version of Android OS codenamed as “Gingerbread".

'Gingerbread' an updated Android version 2.3, can also be used by the “Nexus one" customers. The Gingerbread smartphone called to be Samsung"s Android device will have a 4.5 inch super 'AMOLED2" screen. The upcoming "Gingerbread" series will be ahead of "Galaxy" series in terms of display.

 

According to samsung, Ginger bread will be loaded with a camera of 8 megapixels. The camera can also record high definition videos in 1080 pixel resolution. The upcoming ginger series will also be equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 and 14.4Mbps HSPA.

 

Further, it is speculated that, Gingerbread smartphones will have a 16 gigabyte of onboard memory along with a 1.2 gigahertz processor. The 1.2GHz processor is said to deliver more power than the 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Processor seen in the Galaxy series (Galaxy S series).

According to Samsung, Gingerbread smartphones will be in markets by February, 2011. With Samsung's Gingerbread two more smartphones are in line, the Sony Ericsson's X10 Mini and Mini Pro are also ready to see light by next year.
