Gionee Elife E3 Now Receiving Android 4.4 Kitkat Update in India

Gionee on Saturday announced the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for its Elife E3 handset. The Chinese smartphone maker made the announcement on its Gcafe forum site, asking Elife E3 users to manually download their smartphone to get the Kitkat firmware update.

According to Gionee, the update should bring usual Android 4.4 KitKat improvements. Interestingly, the handset now supports 9 regional languages.

Other Features include:

• Added TouchPal input method for faster and more efficient typing experience.
• Updated Amigo Paper with a brand new UI interface design.
• Updated GioneeXender for optimized performance and further improved the linking success rate.

Although the latest firmware does not provide a huge deal for Elife E3 owners, the seeding of the OS is certainly a positive indication.
