The slimmest phone in the world currently belongs to Gionee and its called the Elife S5.5. Just measuring 5.5mm thin body it has becoming one of the most liked phone in the Indian market at least. The metal chassis and the Gorilla Glass on the back and front of the phone gives the phone an extra layer of icing making it a premium looking handset.

Originally unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year, Gionee's Elife S5.5 initially ran Android Jelly Bean v4.2. It packs a 5.0-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The world's slimmest smartphone also features a 1.7GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Other specs include: 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0 , A-GPS, USB OTG and 2300mAh battery. The phone is prices in the market around Rs 21,000.
