Gionee Elife S5.5: World’s Slimmest Smartphone Now On Sale For Rs 22,999

The much-awaited World's Slimmest Phone', Elife S5.5 has been put up for pre-order by Gionee in India today. Named after its super slimness, a mere 5.55mm slim body, the Elife S series is a new product category developed by Gionee. The device, which can be bought in Black, White, Blue, Pink, and Purple color variants is priced at Rs. 22,999 and can be bought from Gionee's official India store.

Made of premium metal and glass, the S5.5 is a celebration of cutting-edge design. But it's not just super slim and sexy. The company says that the Elife S series products will incorporate an emphasis on design without compromising the hardware and software to create a whole new user experience.

In terms of specs, the slimmest phone comes with a metal chassis. It packs a 5.0-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo 2.0 UI.

Imaging technology used which include in the phone includes a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with a single LED Flash. Moreover, the rear-facing camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD format. It also has a 5MP front-facing shooter.

Other connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0 , A-GPS, USB OTG and more. The smartphone supports 3G network working in six different bands. It is powered by 2300 mAh battery.
